What is Reiki
Reiki is a gentle Japanese method of stress relief and relaxation that supports the body’s natural ability to rebalance—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
The word Reiki translates to “universal life energy.” During a session, this energy is guided through light, hands-on or hands-above touch to encourage the body's own healing response.
Reiki is calming, non-invasive, and deeply relaxing. Many clients leave a session feeling lighter, clearer, and more at peace—with a renewed sense of connection to themselves.
Reiki is a complementary treatment and not a substitute for medical therapy.
How does it feel
Each person experiences Reiki differently.
You may feel warmth, tingling, or gentle waves of soothing energy. Some people drift into a meditative or dreamlike state, while others feel a deep sense of stillness and calm.
Sometimes you may not feel anything at all during the session—this is also normal. Your body is still receiving and responding to the treatment in its own way.
There is no right or wrong experience.
What to expect during a session
Each session lasts 60 minutes and takes place in my Reiki space in Zug.
Here is what you can expect:
- A brief conversation before we begin
- You remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a massage table
- Reiki is given through light, gentle hand placements
- Soft music, blankets, and warmth help you relax deeply
- Most of the session is quiet and peaceful, but you can always speak if needed
There is nothing you need to do—simply rest, receive, and allow your energy to realign.
